The G.I.S. While we were investigating an old abandoned hotel, G.I.S. member
Roger recorded this EVP when he and G.I.S. member Jenny were walking down
one of the hallways. They had just passed the doorway of the room that
had once been the barber shop of the hotel. The room still has a couple
of the old barber chairs in it, and as they were heading back towards
the lobby of the hotel, Roger recorded this voice calling...... "Barber" This clip is wonderful, because when it was recorded, G.I.S. member
Brendan also saw the little boy ghost at the same time in a mirror. We
were all upstairs, and Brendan went down to the main floor by himself.
He entered the living room, which had the lights on, and stood facing
the far end where a large mirror hung on the wall. He glanced around the
room and asked "Is anyone here?" Brendan looked back into the
mirror. The reflection of the kitchen was behind him, and he saw, from
the shoulders up, a small boy run across the kitchen. The boy's head and
neck was turned facing Brendan. On the tape, there is a pause after Brendan
had asked the question. You will hear the boy say either "I'm game"
or "I'm Gabe". Brendan, reacting to what he had just seen in
the mirror, says "No way" and then you will hear the little
boy laugh......The
Boy Episode This EVP was recorded by G.I.S. member Brendan, using one of the "real-time"
tape recorders given to us by Chris Helms. We were investigating an old
house in Idaho. Brendan and Chris had just stepped outside and were discussing
the house when he recorded what sounds like a child saying "That
ol' house?", after which you will then hear Brendan and Chris carrying
on their conversation about the house. Childs
Voice The G.I.S. had been contacted by a prominent business man who is a
Funeral Director and owns several funeral homes. He told us that he and
his wife had been experiencing what they believed to be ghost activity
in their home for about six months. It had started out slowly and had
increased progressively. They were now actually hearing and seeing the
ghosts who had invaded their home. You will hear G.I.S. Member Barry say to G.I.S. Member Barbara, "Potpourri.
Remember? That lady said that's what they used, cause, to make them smell
nice." Barbara was concentrating on her setting up her camera, and
you'll hear her respond "Uh, yeh, that's right." Right as Roger
starts to say something, Barbara recorded an EVP saying ......"Forget
It" Upon our arrival at the house, we had all just stepped inside. You
will hear the home owner say "Oh, let me close this door." G.I.S.
Member Brendan recorded a child saying "Hi
giggling Hi" In the same old hotel, G.I.S. members Barry and Roger were just walking
out of the ballroom, when Roger recorded this man's voice telling them
to.... "Hurry
Back" The G.I.S. was conducting an investigation at a school. You will hear
Jenny ask "Will you let us know you're here?" She recorded this
EVP which sounds like it answers..... "I
can Talk" We had just arrived at a cemetery that we investigate quite often.
You will hear G.I.S. Member Brendan say "...to about every cemetery
in Northern Utah." He recorded what sounds like a child's voice saying
.... "Big
Deal" You will hear the lady of the house ask the little boy ghost, "What's
your mom and dad's name?". The reply sounds like he says.... "Oliver". (If you listen closely, it sounds like the child had started to speak
at the same time she started to ask the question but was cut off.) On one of our excursions to Wyoming, The G.I.S. had stopped to check
out a cemetery. G.I.S. Members Barry and Brendan were walking through
one of the cemetery sections, and Brendan had noticed most of the headstones
had the Mason's symbol on them, and had mentioned it to Barry. The home owner had one of his son's toys, and talking to the little
boy ghost, set the toy down, saying "Here buddy." A child's
voice says.... "I
see, Good, Good" The night before we had arrived, the lady of the house had experienced
what she described as someone small, like a child, rushing up to her stomach
and hugging her. You will hear her husband ask, "Did you hug her
lastnight?" A child's voice answers...... "It
Gonna Be Ok" The interaction in this clip is wonderful. Keep in mind, there was
no child in the house while we were conducting our investigation. We had
told the home owner to talk to the little boy ghost, just like he would
to a living person. On a few occasions, they had witnessed their six year
old son's electronic toys go off by themselves, when the son was not in
the house. They had seen the little boy ghost many times in their son's
room. You will hear the home owner say, (talking to the little boy ghost)
"You can go play in Derrick's room, OK?" The EVP says... "OK".
Then the home owner says "Go ahead and go play."
The G.I.S. went to a small town in Idaho. Chris Helms, the gentleman
who has so graciously donated so much time in making and donating to us
some "real-time" tape recorders, met us there. It was a real
pleasure to finally meet him and his lovely wife. They had arranged to
take us to investigate an old school house that has been turned into a
museum. Before the curator arrived to let us all in, Chris and some of
the G.I.S. Members were walking along a sidewalk, which runs right next
to the school. In this clip that G.I.S. Member Barbara recorded, you will
hear Chris say to us "There's a lot of neat history behind the building",
and you will hear us walking. Then a man's voice tells us.... "Get
Out" On one of our nightly investigations at a cemetery, the mosquitoes
were relentless! G.I.S. Member Roger had made a remark about them and
he had made G.I.S. Member Jenny laugh. You will hear her laughingly say
to Roger "I think I'm going to go and sit in the car." Roger
recorded a woman's voice sing..... "So
Long". (If you listen closely, you can actually hear the vibrato
in her voice.) In this clip, you will hear the EVP first. It sounds like a child
or young girl saying ...."You daddy", then the home owner asks
GIs member Brendan, "Now, you've been recording for the voices?"
and then Brendan responds "Uh-hum"...... "You
Daddy" The day after we conducted our investigation at the abandoned hotel,
the owner of the hotel had arranged for the people of the small town to
come there to meet us and relate any history of the town, hotel or to
ask us any questions. Not surprisingly, not too many people showed up.
In this clip, you will hear G.I.S. Member Roger asking one of the ladies
that had arrived, "Well, are..you want to wait a little longer?"
He recorded this cranky sounding voice answering it's reply, but it was
definitely not the woman he was talking to, who answered...... "Well
Yes"
They were very nervous and uncomfortable at the time they contacted us
and were seeking some answers and some help. They had lived in the home
for seven years, and had not experienced this up until six months prior
to contacting us. They told us that they had seen at least two men and
a small boy. This was recorded by G.I.S. Member Brendan, using a digital
recorder on our first preliminary investigation there. You will hear Brendan
ask "Will you talk with me?" The EVP either says... "Father"
or "Other"
(Does it mean that nothing could make them smell nice?)
We had taken a Friend of The G.I.S. on an investigation to one of our
most active cemeteries that we investigate. Our Friend, Joe, had purchased
a digital recorder and wanted to try recording EVPs with it. (He later
donated it us to use...thank you Joe!) You will hear Joe ask "Should
I keep this going? Yeah, I probably should, right?" Brendan replies
"Oh, yeah, you take it with you everywhere." You will then hear
Brendan sigh, but under that sigh is a voice that Joe recorded on the
digital recorder that says...... "Great
Choice"
You will hear Brendan then ask "Are you recording?" Barry answers
"Yep." Brendan says "Good, cause I'm sure you just got
a voice." It sounds like a feeble woman responding.... "I'm
Sure"
The home owner was responding to one of the G.I.S. Members and you will
hear him say "Oh really?" A child quickly replies..... "You
don't have to tell me"
